VA - THE BEST OF PAGAN SONG

Here is the music that has shaped and accompanied the resurgence of Pagan spirituality in our time - 16 songs ranging from Celtic music to folk-rock, acappella tracks to selections from Pagan bands like Velvet Hammer and Emerald Rose. Tracks include Charlie Murphy's long-lost original recording of 'Burning Times' and several other true musical gems, remastered and presented in this first-ever collection of the most important Pagan songs and artists from the 1970s to now. I love listening to this Cd it gives such a range of messages to your soul. The one track that i find a tad corny is track 7 and the one that always maked me smile is Dar Williams - The Christians & the Pagans track 15.. What a song!

I started the Cd with a smile on my face and by the time I got to track 5 i was dancing. As track 9 ' Lughnasadh Dance' started the hair was up on my neck and the dancing got more intense… at the time of writing this review i have got it on a repeat...What a song!.....But i think the one's that hit home is 'Pagan Ways' and 'Only Human' such meaningful well written songs they makes your eyes well up. Well done Damh for a superb Cd get stuck into the next one my friend and thanks to Cerri Lee for the art that is just fantastic as always.

THE WHEEL OF THE WICCAN YEAR - GAIL DUFF

They say: Each season possesses a special magic reflected in the turning of the leaves and the movement of the skies. The spiritual path of Wicca celebrates this natural rhythm of the year with eight wonderful festivals. From the mystery of October's Samhain, through the playfulness of Beltane in May, to the fruitfulness of the Autumn Equinox, the festivals draw upon time-honoured traditions, ancient wisdom and magical means to bring us closer to the natural world. In this beautiful guide, you will discover:

. The use of spells, songs and chants, affirmations and meditations.

. Simple yet powerful rituals for the solitary practitioner and for group celebrations.

. Recipes for ritual incense, cakes and wine Seasonal festivals have always been an essential part of life.

. Detailed descriptions of the individual festivals and how they relate to the natural world and to our own lives.

The Wheel of the Wiccan Year offers practical suggestions for rediscovering them and for enriching our own lives by living and celebrating in harmony with the natural cycle of the year. This is one of my personal favourites and refer back to this on many occasions. This would be a great book for the beginner.
